Condolence From: Kerry Harrison
Condolence: To my entire extended family and all who knew Lil (my Nanny). I am deeply sorry. We have all lost someone very special. Nanny meant a great deal to many people and touched all of us in very different ways. To me, she was one of the strongest women I have ever known. Although she always enjoyed having someone to share her time with, she didn't have to, she knew how to look after herself, she knew how to handle herself and she knew how to keep herself busy an entertained. She loved to travel and was fortunate enough to have seen many different places in her lifetime. She loved to cook, in fact some of my best memories of my Nanny are ones that revolve around the abundance of food she would always put out when she knew you were coming over. And I will always be in awe of her ability to throw together the best muffins, scones and tea biscuits from whatever ingredients she had laying around in the fridge. I absolutely treasured my time spent with Nanny just sitting and talking about the good old days, when things just weren't the same as they are now (as she would say). She knew so many interesting stories about our family history that I just couldn't get enough of. I really do wish I would had have written them all down. I remember going on a road trip to Moosonee with my Mom, my Nanny, my brothers and my cousin, unforgettable. The fact is there are so many memories and for this I will be forever grateful. Nanny truly was the head of the Pirrie family. She was a wonderful, hardworking and caring Mother, she was an amazing Grandmother, she was a loving and caring Great-Grandmother. She was a lot of things to a lot of people, but she was everything to me, and I will be eternally grateful for having had the opportunity to known her, love her and be loved by her. Rest in peace Nanny, I will miss you so much.

Condolence: To my family, Nanny was always the heart beat of this family. A woman who worked so hard to provide and ensure that my father and his sisters would remain close throughout their wholes lives. From that we have grown to include all of us grand kids/cousins and great grand children. Although we may not see each as often as we would like when we do its as though we haven't missed a day and this I thank our Nanny for. We all have our favourite stories that we will have forever and I know that is exactly what she would want us to take on with us. Nanny will be missed greatly by us all.
Lots of love and sympathy to our entire family

Condolence: I was sad to hear of the passing of Lil Pirrie on the weekend. “Step-grandmother” is an inelegant term for an elegant lady who masked her toughness with a constant curiosity, indefatigable independence, and a mind so sharp, right to the end, that her hairdresser had to wear gloves. (It was only recently that I figured out all three of those traits are related.) I don’t have any of her blood in me, but I got the next best thing, which was to spend time with her, have a lot of laughs, and hear how some people can overcome challenges that would make most of us cower. And for that I was very fortunate. Thank you Lil! (Thinking of Donna Scott, Wayne, Marilyn, Lynda, Kerry Harrison, Shawn, Mark, Janice Stubbs, Ping Clapham, and Kevin Harrison, and the kids these days.)
