Obituary for Alexander McLeod Gray

Alexander McLeod Gray
Gray, Alexander McLeod
Passed away peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville on Monday, March 26, 2018 in his 84th year. Devoted husband of the late Carol. Loving father of John and his wife Susan, Rob (deceased) and his wife Marilyn and Karen and her husband Terry Gunderson. Proud grandfather of Josh (Jade), Dylan, Emmy-Lou, Charlotte and Madison. Great-grandfather of Lila and Grayson.
He is best remembered as the best damn drummer south of the tracks on Victoria Street and north of 30 Sideroad.
There will be a celebration of Alex's life in the front hall of the Royal Canadian Legion, 203 William St., Shelburne on Monday, April 2, 2018 beginning at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetic Association would be appreciated by the family.

We saw you getting tired
A cure was not to be,
So Mom put her arms around you
And whispered, “Come with me.”

With tearful eyes we watched you
And saw you fade away,
Although we loved you dearly
We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating
Your tender hands at rest
We know you’ll walk beside us
For that we all are blessed.
