Dear Charlie, Katie, Dave, and family, I

Please know that you are all in my thoughts. It was such a shock to learn of Linda’s passing, as I had not been aware of her illness. When I learned of this through another artist on Mulmur I was unable to attend the gathering, and I am so sad to have missed seeing you. Linda and I shared many happy creative months together years ago in the Art Centre in Shelburne, when we painted in that schoolroom studio space. As the years passed I always enjoyed her company at various art events. She was such a positive and naturally engaging person! She was a true artist in every sense—authentically expressive and unpretentious. I loved seeing her lively paintings at exhibitions and was so happy for her that she spent time painting in Italy. I send my deepest sympathy to you all, her very dear family. Much love, Laurie McGaw

My deep condolences to Linda's family. Linda was my go to art mentor in my pratice and one of my favorite painters. I always hear her say to me, in relation to plein air painting, " you don't have to go far, just turn around and paint". I am so happy that I have a couple of her paintings so that I can talk to her through her vision, paint and brush strokes. Linda shared so much of herself. When she came back from Tuscany I bumped into her in the Alton Mill parking lot and she opened her van and showed me some new paintings from her experience there. The colours of the new palette of ochres and sienna! and during the exhibit her beautiful sketch book. I loved our time together in her studio. God bless her creative and beautiful spirit, her legacy and all who's lives were touched by her.
