RIP Sandy.
Leadership is action and Sandy lead by his actions. He was always a stand-up guy that folks could look to when they needed support. I will always remember how he rocked that awesomely curly hair, how he had an infectious smile and great belly laugh, how he understood punky teenage boys playing hockey or basketball and how he had great empathy for those around him. He was one of those remarkable adults who understood that life could be challenging. He was a very good friend to our family—all the Vanderkolks were—and I always looked up to him growing up in rural Ontario. My heart goes out to the whole Vanderkolk family. Tom and Andy, you we’re closest to my age: Be strong guys. Sending nothing but love and respect. 🙏
