Obituary

Spires, Bill

Bill Spires died suddenly on January 29, 2021 at age 78. He was much loved by his wife of 55 years Sue and his children: Denise (Michel) Dubé and Kristine (Stanford) Brown. He was so proud of his family and will be very missed by his grandchildren Shannelle (Steve) Rozema, Nathan (Emma) Brown, Gabriel, Alexandre and Marika Dubé and by the next generation, Kai Rozema. Bill was a loving brother to Dave, Brenda (Corrie) Holmes and Margaret (Dick) Arnold and predeceased by Bob (Aline) Spires. He will be remembered by nieces and nephews, especially Sharon and Emilie.

Bill had a lifelong love of learning. He and Sue loved to travel, visiting 32 countries by motorcycle, camper van, RV and Model A. They were tour directors for the Model A Club and enjoyed each adventure greatly. If you wish to honour Bill’s love of travel and children, please consider a donation to Mercy Ships Canada (mercyships.ca) in lieu of flowers.

We are so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was a wonderful gentleman and I always enjoyed our conversations. He was not only a friend but a loyal supporter of the auction circuit. I do not remember many sales where he wasn't there before and during the day of. He will be sadly missed. My sincerest sympathies to Sue and the family in this difficult time. Lorne and Deborah Ferguson.

Sue and family
We were so sorry to hear of Bills passing. It was quite a shock. He was a wonderful person, always smiling and laughing. He was always at the car shows, helping and showing his support. May you find comfort in knowing he lived his life to the fullest, loved you with all his heart and left you long lasting memories. He will be truly missed.
